Funding availability

Funding is available from numerous sources.

The University is proud to be associated with the Cambridge Trusts, which provide support for a large number of Overseas and EU students to come to Cambridge each year.

The University receives funding from the UK Research Councils for UK/EU research studentships. Competitions for these funds are run through the departments.

The University and colleges also have their own funds, which are available to a wide range of applicants and current students.

You should bear in mind that these awards are highly competitive, with many more applicants than there are awards available. You should not, therefore, rely upon success in the competitions, and should investigate all other sources of funding.
