Cambridge in India
For over 150 years, Cambridge has been attracting students and scholars from India, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in their fields of arts, humanities, science, politics to name but a few areas. The connections with India are not however only one way and there are numerous instances of Cambridge academics and students spending time in India on their own for fieldwork visits or with their collaborators and partner institutions. Many examples are listed under the Research Collaborations pages.
In addition to the academic linkages, the University is also present in India through its two subsidiary businesses - namely Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press - as well as the network of alumni societies.
