Cambridge-India Partnership

Funding Opportunities

At the University of Cambridge, the Cambridge-India Partnership Fund has been established with a lead gift from the University. The purpose of the fund is to offer small grants to further the mission of the partnership which is to provide support to Cambridge students, scholars and researchers at every level from undergraduate to professor to build and strengthen relationships and facilitate the exchange and development of scientific knowledge, expertise and practice between collaborating groups in Cambridge and India.

External funding to support international collaborations and partnerships, in particular travel and researcher exchange, is available from many different funding agencies including the UK Research Councils and charities. We have listed some examples on the external funding opportunities page. The most comprehensive database of funding opportunities can be found at ResearchResearch which covers all disciplines and includes research policy news. The University of Cambridge has a subscription to the database and all staff and students can access it. The University's Research Services Division (RSD) offers help, support and advice on subscription and usage of the database, and on research funding opportunities in general, and maintains the Funding Calls Calendar, consisting of Calls for proposals and Rolling programmes.

In this section you can also find information about four academic mobility schemes: the Dr. D. C. Pavate Memorial Visiting Fellowship, the Cambridge - Hamied Visiting Lecture Scheme, and two fellowships at the Centre of South Asian Studies.
