Cambridge-India Partnership Operational Group

The Cambridge-India Partnership Operational Group (CIPOG) is responsible for the implementation of all aspects of the partnership's activities and has strong links both within the University and externally. It meets approximately every three weeks and reports to the Advisory Group. Contact CIPOG




Professor Dame Sandra Dawson is KPMG Professor of Management, Judge Business School and Fellow and former Master, Sidney Sussex College. As the Vice Chancellor's Deputy she chairs the Cambridge-India partnership and is a regular visitor to India, often in association with her membership of the UK India Round Table. She has been part of the previous Vice-Chancellor's delegation on three annual visits to India, most recently in January 2010.




Ms Clare Birch is Associate Director, International in the University Development Office.  She has responsibility for international strategy and fundraising for the 800th Anniversary Campaign. Mr Matthew Moss is the Vice-Chancellor's Private Secretary, responsible for major projects, researching speeches and for much of the Vice-Chancellor's overseas business.

Allen Swales works in the International Office, where he is responsible for supporting the University's activities in India and South Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia. A graduate of Emmanuel College, Allen has returned to Cambridge after a career largely overseas with the British Council in Jordan, UAE, Portugal and Saudi Arabia. He was most recently a member of the Corporate Strategy and Performance team at HQ.

Mr Tim Holt is Head of Communications for the University and deals with international media relations. Tim has been part of the previous Vice-Chancellor's delegation on three annual visits to India, most recently in January 2010.
